About the Project
Front Range Energy Storage (Front Range) is ideally located on approximately 19 acres in Arapahoe County, Colorado, at an entry point to Xcel’s existing electric transmission lines and poles. The battery storage facility will provide capacity and energy services to the Xcel electrical grid in the Denver metro area, enhancing grid reliability, making the transmission grid more efficient, and accelerating the integration of advanced generation energy resources.
